Gatekeeper's Cabin Museum

Gatekeeper’s Cabin Museum was built in 1909, served as the
home of the resident gatekeeper, whose duties included the measuring
and regulation of Tahoe's water level.

Lake Tahoe
This is a beautiful, pristine lake. Lake Tahoe is located on the
Nevada and California border. It is 22 miles long, 12 miles wide
also, it is believed have been formed by the collapse of a volcanic
crater, but it actually was created by the shifting of geologic
faults and the landscape that raised and dropped over millions of
years.

This is a popular attraction in Lake Tahoe, CA. The Ponderosa Ranch
Western Studio and Theme Park is a great place for children. You
can take a tour of the studio and stage, experience Lake Tahoe and
the Ponderosa Ranch from atop a horse, or eat a hardy cowboy breakfast
and watch a Wild West comedy stunt show.
Tallac Historic Site
If you’ve got interest in the homes of rich and famous, check
out this renowned area of tourist attraction. Standing as a testimonial
to the wealthy are the beautiful estates of the Baldwin, Pope and
Heller families. These summer getaways for the upper crust were
built at the turn of the 20th century.
These splendid summer guesthouses display great exhibits on Indian
artifacts and Baldwin family. The Pope estate is now an interpretive
center offering historic tours and a living history program in the
summer. The Heller, or Valhalla estate, built in 1924, was the summer
stomping ground of the rich and famous. Appointments are necessary
to visit the homes, but admission is free.

Ski Resort is marvelous ski area that takes pride in the longest
mountain descent (5.5 miles), a vertical drop of 3,500 feet, and

these activities are just minutes away from the casinos of Lake
Tahoe.
